Updated August 15: LARHF members were invited to an ultra-rare visit to see Santa Fe 4-8-4 no. 3751 being rebuilt at Amtrak’s Redondo Jct. facility in downtown Los Angeles. On Saturday, August 10, members visited the site, learned about the 1927 Baldwin’s boiler rebuild, toured the tool car, and stepped inside the cab to view the firebox.
